Since the original Toys For Tots logo is fairly well known it is important for the new logo to feel familiar. To achieve this, I still used a playful cut paper style typeface. The goals of Toys for Tots focus primarily around the Christmas season, so it was also important to keep a bright red color as the primary color. I introduced a secondary color of green to create contrast and provide more versatility and interest. Additionally, the monogram subtly recalls a gift package, which unconsciously reinforces the goal to provide a gift to a needy child. Overall, this logo has an updated feel and stands out while still expressing the mission and goals of Toys For Tots.
